Often compressors are diagnosed as defective due to an open thermal overload. The purpose of the overload is to shut off the compressor when it gets extremely hot.
Dirty electricity, defined as erratic spikes and surges of electrical energy traveling along power lines and building wiring where only standard 50/60-Hertz AC electricity should be, can be caused by several different types of anomalies.

The Axion motor is used in a wide variety of applications in the Bryant rooftop units. It is a true E.C.M motor producing its own 10v DC signal, which is used as a control signal to communicate with the motor to produce a certain RMP based on the system's total static pressure to meet the unit's CFM requirements.
The HVAC industry is moving from Puron refrigerant to Puron Advance. This article, written by product experts at Behler-Young, explains a brief overview of some changes that will take place when transitioning to HFO A2L Refrigerants like R454B.
Utility Curtailment is a power company program used to address peak power demand, an aging and insufficient electrical grid, and the power generation mix available in your area. At this point, it is not mandatory, and you receive $20 to $40 / year for agreeing to participate. Utility Curtailment allows the power company to interrupt the operation of your A/C or H.P. for up to 10 hours during the summer months. Connecting to a single-stage piece of equipment is easy; they install a box on the side of the house that cuts the low voltage at the compressor contactor.
Error codes E1 or EL01 on 4-wire Bryant/Midea Ductless units indicate a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. This simply means that the two units are not talking to one another. The issue can be caused by the indoor unit, the outdoor unit, or the wire. To identify where the issue is, begin by setting your meter to DC voltage. Place the red lead on L2 or 2 and your black lead on S or 3 in either the indoor or outdoor unit.
Contractors have likely seen the list of fault codes that are printed on the back of the furnace doors and in the installation manuals. These codes are used to troubleshoot common problems and help you find the reason your furnace isn’t working properly. The most common fault for condensing furnaces is code 31; code 31 means that a pressure switch did not open or close when it was supposed to.
Expansion valves are commonly used in most heat pumps and air conditioners manufactured today. This has been one of the components used to increase the efficiency of equipment over the years. Back in 2017 Bryant introduced the KGAPC0101ECM Lower Amp Kit. This allowed the reduction of motor amperage on select 1HP 5-ton drive 926TA and 926TB model furnaces. This reduction in motor amperage allowed these select furnace sizes to be installed without upgrading the wire to 12 GA or over current protection to 20 amp. When installed with the 926TB60080V21 or 928TB66100V21, the over current protection required would drop from 20AMP to 15AMP. The existing 14GA wire could be reused.
“Why do I need ventilation in my home?” is a question homeowners may ask. The reasons for needing fresh air becomes clearer, once we consider what pollutants might be in the air in homes. Most homes have the potential for VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from cleaning agents, carbon dioxide from occupants (including pets), and many other gases or biological pollutants.
